London's Head of the River Race is one of the city's best boating events of the year. This March 400 crews from around the world will take part in London's famous Thames River Race to compete in this historic boating race.
The first Head of the River Race was held in 1926 by Cambridge and Tideway oarsman Steve Fairbairn. Nowadays many boats of eight men row over the 6.8 km famous route from Mortlake to Putney.
Countries from around the world take part in this fantastic event, so make sure you arrive early to get a good spot to see the battle and cheer on your team!
