The first ever staging of a female playwright's work comes to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.
Written by Nell Leyshon - winner of the Most Promising Playwright Award by Evening Standard for Comfort Me With Apples - the new story Bedlam tells a story of doctors (some mad) and patients (some sane) combining dance and song with scenes of lust, violence, absurd comedy and romance.
The show is a fictional portrayal of a London hospital for the insane, and looks at the link between art and madness. Bedlam is directed by Jessica Swale.
